Secondary Science Teacher – Durham Start Date: 20th April | Duration: Until Summer Term (with potential extension)
The Education Network is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Durham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a confident ECT looking to make a positive impact in a well-established Science department. The role is due to start on 20th April and will run until the end of the Summer term, with the possibility of continuing beyond this.
The Role:
  • Teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics)
  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Science department and school staff
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting (KS3–KS4)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A passion for Science and inspiring young learners
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
