Job Description
- Location: Essex
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 09:00 am – 17:15pm
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Duration: Ongoing
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite only
- Rate: £24 - £32/ hour (dependant on experience)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 pharmacist to join the friendly and supportive pharmacy team at this NHS Trust, delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care across the inpatient and outpatient dispensary services
This role is ideal for newly qualified or early-career pharmacists who are ready to build solid clinical and operational experience in a busy hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure safe, appropriate, and effective us of medicines
- Carrying out final accuracy checks (If ACT Trained) to support timely and safe supply of medications
- Providing tailored patient counselling to promote understanding, adherence, and safe us of prescribed treatments
- Working collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and assistants to maintain high standards of dispensing and supply
- Supporting the delivery of a patient-centred service in line with hospital policies and national guidelines
Essential Requirements:
- GPHC Registration
- Eager to develop their clinical knowledge and professional skills across a variety of settings
- Confident in communicating with patients and healthcare professionals alike
- Committed to providing safe and effective pharmaceutical care
- Ability to work efficiently in as fast-paced environment
