Job Details:

• Position: Social Worker – Assessment (Children) (Grade 8, Social Care Qualified)
• Location: County Hall, Freemans Way, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA61 1TP
• Employment Type: Temporary (12 weeks)
• Start Date: 07 July 2025
• Hours: 22.25 hours per week (part-time)
• Rate: PAYE: £26.30 per hour | Umbrella: £33.51 per hour

About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the safeguarding and support of children in Pembrokeshire. As a Social Worker in the Child Care Management Team, you will undertake assessments, develop care plans, and create support packages to promote children’s welfare. The role involves working from the Haverfordwest office and conducting necessary visits within the community.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify children’s needs
• Develop and implement effective care plans and support packages
• Collaborate with families, colleagues, and multi-agency partners
• Maintain accurate and timely case records
• Promote the welfare and safety of children in line with statutory requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Care Wales registration
• Experience in children’s assessments and care planning
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly, including office-based work and community visits
• Eligible to work in the UK
