Job Advert: Process Mapping Specialist
Location: Usk+ travel across the county (hybrid working available)
Employment Type: Temporary – key project role
Number of Positions: 1
Start Date: Monday 8 December 2025
Duration: 24 weeks (6 months) – very high chance of extension
Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible/hybrid after induction)
Salary: PAYE: £17.85+ per hour | Umbrella: £22.78 per hour
The Project
Monmouthshire is rolling out a brand-new adult social care case recording system in 2026.
We need an experienced Process Mapping Specialist to lead the “as-is / to-be” mapping, run workshops with practitioners and managers, and make sure every redesigned process is efficient, compliant, and ready for the new digital platform.
Key Tasks
- Run process mapping workshops across Adult Services teams
- Create clear Visio/Lucidchart process maps (as-is → to-be)
- Spot inefficiencies and design streamlined, user-friendly workflows
- Align processes with the new system and GDS/digital standards
- Support UAT, training plans, and change management
- Produce governance-ready documentation (GDPR compliant)
You’ll Need
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end process mapping & redesign (essential)
- Expert user of Visio, Lucidchart, Miro or similar
- Strong facilitation skills – able to run workshops with social workers, managers & regional partners
- Knowledge of Agile, Lean or continuous improvement methods
- Understanding of social care or public sector transformation (highly desirable)
