Hours: FT - 37 hours per week, PT - 22.5 hours per week
Salary: PAYE: £29.24 per hour | Umbrella: £38.43 per hour

Are you an experienced and committed Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding children and supporting families? Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a Registered Social Worker to join a friendly and supportive Children’s Services team for a 13-week temporary assignment covering an authorised period of absence. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise within a highly professional and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide high-quality support with quality-assuring documents such as safety plans, assessments, and reports.
• Attend key meetings—including Child Protection Conferences—to offer guidance and support to less experienced social workers.
• Hold a small caseload of complex cases during a colleague’s sickness period, ensuring ongoing risk management and progression of care plans.
• Use your expertise in Court work and Child Protection to ensure robust decision-making and high-quality practice.
• Be available in the office at least three days per week to support duty tasks and act as a reliable resource to the team.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified and registered Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work or equivalent) with Social Care Wales registration.
• Significant experience within Child Protection and Court proceedings.
• Strong assessment, report-writing, and risk-analysis skills, with the ability to support and guide colleagues.
• Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills.
• Ability to manage complex cases effectively and maintain high professional standards.

• Enhanced DBS check.
• Confidentiality Agreement.
• Two years of references/work history.
