NRW People is excited to offer a temporary Income Officer role with Vale of Glamorgan Council, based at Quarry Road, Wenvoe, Cardiff. Starting 13 October 2025, this 40-week position provides short-term maternity leave cover for a job share role, offering a part-time opportunity to support housing services.What You’ll Do:
  • Manage income collection and recovery processes for housing tenants, ensuring timely payments and reducing arrears.
  • Provide advice and support to tenants on financial matters, negotiating payment plans and addressing queries with sensitivity.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and liaise with internal teams to uphold housing service standards.
  • Handle confidential information in line with data protection policies, contributing to a positive tenant experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless cover during the maternity leave period.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A proactive individual with experience in income management, customer service, or housing-related administration.
  • Ability to work part-time (18.5 hours per week) with strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A compassionate approach to supporting tenants, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Wenvoe, Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan.
Essential Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement (to be submitted with application).
  • Criminal Convictions Declaration (to be submitted with application).
