Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Employment Type: Temporary (12 Weeks, Long-Term Sickness Cover)
Start Date: 3rd September 2025
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: PAYE: £12.21 per hour | Umbrella: £15.48 per hour
Shift Pattern:
  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:00
  • Friday: 08:00 – 15:30

The Role:
As a Driver/Courier, you’ll ensure the seamless transport of goods, documents, and materials across various properties, including schools and libraries. This varied, hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives on the move and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport packages, mail, and parcels between designated properties, including schools.
  • Provide an efficient paper recycling collection service for waste management operations.
  • Deliver packed crates and packages between libraries in the Vale of Glamorgan.
  • Transport cleaning materials and equipment to various properties.
  • Deliver legal documentation between offices and solicitors.
  • Assist with the transportation of monies and cheques between properties.
  • Support other functions within the building cleaning and security team, including covering mobile service roles, assisting with office moves, and performing basic labouring duties.
  • Uphold equal opportunities principles in all duties.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Essential:
    • Eligibility to work in the UK.
    • Valid UK driving licence.
    • Willingness to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
    • Completion of a Criminal Convictions Declaration.
    • Provide 2 years of references/work history.
  • Desirable:
    • Reliable, punctual, and professional with a strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to quality service.
