Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday, initially 5 days office-based, transitioning to 4 days office-based and 1 day working from home after training)

Pay Rate: £13.17/hour (PAYE) or £16.72/hour (Umbrella)

Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a dedicated Families First Advice Line Advisor to join the Children & Young People’s Service. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential advice and guidance to families and carers, helping them access the support they need.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide telephone-based advice and guidance to families/carers in line with Families First guidance, national standards, and relevant legislation.
- Signpost families and professionals to appropriate local services to meet assessed needs.
- Conduct service user assessments, including needs and risk assessments, to inform casework planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, both electronically and on file, in line with service policies.
- Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and internal/external professionals and agencies.
- Stay informed about relevant legislation, including the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act and All Wales Child Protection Procedures.
- Attend meetings, produce reports, and participate in professional supervision and appraisals.
- Promote access to community services and report safeguarding concerns promptly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in social care or family support is desirable but not essential – a passion for helping others is key!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with families and professionals.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work within service policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn relevant legislation and national standards.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and safeguarding principles.
