Vitalis are recruiting for a Newly Qualified Social worker to work in an Adult Team in Sefton Council.
The worker will be under clear supervision, responsible for an allocated caseload including assessment and appropriate management of risks. The closeness of supervision and complexity of case load will vary. The Social Worker will be required to effectively manage a defined workload and undertake a range of assessments, deemed to be suitable for a newly qualified social worker.

• Ensure that reports are up to date, of a high quality and submitted according to appropriate timescales.
• Undertake mental capacity, best interests’ assessments, and ensure the findings are recorded in a timely manner, in line with the Mental Capacity legislations.
• Lead safeguarding enquiries, ensuring completion within timescales and outcomes recorded and shared with relevant parties, in line with the Care Act 2014.
• Undertake direct work with people, carers and families in line with interagency safeguarding adults.

Communicate skilfully and confidently in complex or high-risk situations and escalate to senior management, as appropriate.
