SENDIASS Officer, Barnsley Council  
Pay rate £34.79 per hour
Contract role 
Vitalis are recruiting for a SENDIASS Officer to work in a Team in Barnsley Council.
The service is looking for a case officer who can undertake level 3 and 4 case work in the local area directly with its service users. There is a need to understand the role of SENDIASS, have experience of working with parents, carers and young people and experience of advocacy in a variety of SEND situations including SEND Tribunal processes and hearings. The service requires someone who has extensive knowledge of SEND and the relevant guidance and Acts to advice and support service users appropriately. The SENDIASS Officer must be experienced and knowledgeable in completing complex paperwork with parents, carers and young people and a secure grasp of their advocacy role in complex case work. This post requires someone who is able to travel in and out of the area so support service users effectively. This post will be initially for 3 months but may be extended further.
