Vitalis are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to work as an Independent Reviewing Officer / Conference Chair Children's in Barnsley Council.
 
To ensure a high quality, safe, compliant placement provision for children and young people by maintaining robust QA systems, monitoring provider performance, coordinating due diligence processes, and supporting continuous improvement across the Children’s Placements service. The postholder will be required to visit residential homes and complete Quality Assurance, and be confident to respond to serious concerns. The postholder will have experience of working alongside LADO and attending Strategy meetings. They will also be required to have a level experience to make decisions around Quality Assurance, Compliance Response and next steps.
The postholder will be expected to:
·         Liaise with providers to obtain required QA documentation, clarify compliance issues, and support the exchange of accurate information.
·         Coordinate with internal teams (commissioning, placements, QA, finance) to ensure clear, timely communication on provider quality issues and actions.
·         Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues on QA expectations, provider documentation, and regulatory compliance.
The postholder will also require experience in the following: 
·         Knowledge of regulatory requirements for residential and supported accommodation providers (Ofsted, Reg 44, safeguarding standards).
·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data, trends, and QA indicators.
·         Excellent organisation and coordination skills to manage multiple QA processes, deadlines, and actions.
