Pay rate to £39 per hour 
Contract role
 We are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker for a Safeguarding Team in Tameside Council.  
 
Tameside are in need of 5 social workers, who are  resilient, experienced, and able to work autonomously. This role is based on the Safeguarding and Support team where social workers manage Child in Need, Child Protection, pre-proceedings and Court matters. Candidates will be supported by a stable and permanent leadership team. Tameside have a  clear and ambitious improvement plan, inviting experienced workers to contribute to ongoing development and benefit from the positive changes underway. The recent Ofsted monitoring visit letter, published in January, describes the stability and positive changes within the service.
The social work role is office-based, with some flexibility around working from home arrangements where agreed by the Team Manager. There is a preference that any successful candidate will work their contracted hours over 5 days.
