Sous Chef – Privately Owned Boutique Hotel – Solihull Area
Are you a passionate and driven Sous Chef ready for your next challenge? We are seeking a talented professional to join the kitchen team at our privately owned, 27-bedroom boutique hotel in the Solihull area.
Our hotel features a busy restaurant, conference facilities, and a thriving wedding and events venue. With a strong reputation for quality, creativity, and warm hospitality, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food and memorable guest experiences.
The Role

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to lead and inspire the kitchen team, ensuring consistently high standards across:

  • À la carte restaurant service
  • Conference and corporate catering
  • Weddings and private events
  • Afternoon teas and seasonal menus
You will support menu development, manage food ordering and stock control, maintain strict food safety standards, and help drive innovation and consistency across all services.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
  • Background in fresh food, high-volume events, and quality restaurant service
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and HACCP compliance
  • Calm under pressure with a proactive, hands-on approach
  • Experience within a hotel or wedding venue environment would be advantageous
