Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Administrator to support our Fire & Security Estimating function within our clients growing team. In this role, you will help prepare estimates and proposals for Fire Detection, Intruder Alarm, Access Control, CCTV and Accessible Alarm Systems for a wide variety of clients. You will support both new and contracted customers, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally, accurately and within set timeframes.
 
This position is ideal for experienced Senior Administrators from a construction or building services background, Junior Estimators, or those looking to step into a more technical administrative/estimating support role.
 
Full training, ongoing support and a structured development plan will be provided, with clear opportunities for progression within the business as your skills develop.
 
Job Details

Working Week: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 08:30am – 5:00pm (30m unpaid lunch)
Hourly Rate: £12.60ph - £14.00ph
Duration: Temp to Perm (Between 12-15 weeks)
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and format bespoke quotations, proposals and design specifications for fire and security systems.
  • Request accurate product information and pricing from suppliers.
  • Update internal systems to ensure all quotes, enquiries and design details are recorded accurately.
  • Follow up quotations with clients and liaise with Account Managers regarding queries or clarifications.
  • Prepare contract documentation for awarded projects and input all relevant information into company systems.
  • Create, compile and maintain Operations & Maintenance Manuals for completed works.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, returns and product information.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries from suppliers, contractors and customers.
  • Support the Senior Estimator and Purchaser in managing supplier relationships.
  • Ensure all customer requests and internal tasks are completed with accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
 
About You
  • Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of budgetary and project constraints.
  • Experience in fire & security or construction-related administration preferred but not essential.
  • Junior Estimators or Senior Administrators with transferable skills are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of BS 5839 & BS 8629 is beneficial but not essential.
  • Motivated to learn, develop and progress within a supportive and growing business.
