The Role
A Good secondary school in Redditch is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher to join their Humanities department from April 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
The role involves teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that help students understand key historical events, develop critical thinking skills, and build strong written analysis. You will support pupils in preparing for GCSE History, encouraging curiosity and a deeper understanding of the subject.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or be an ECT
- Have experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4
- Be confident delivering GCSE History content
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to supporting pupil progress and attainment
