The Role
Secondary schools in Dudley are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to provide classroom cover across Key Stages 3 and 4 from February 2026. This is a temporary position, ideal for candidates looking to gain school-based experience or secure flexible work within a secondary setting.
You will supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, deliver pre-set work, maintain behaviour standards, and ensure pupils remain on task. There is no planning or marking required, but strong classroom presence and clear communication are essential.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Be confident managing behaviour across KS3 and KS4
- Communicate clearly and set firm expectations
- Be adaptable and reliable
- Be considering a future career in teaching (desirable but not essential)
