The Role
You’ll be joining a well-resourced English department committed to delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire a love of literature and language. You will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. The school follows a knowledge-rich curriculum and places a strong emphasis on developing students’ analytical and writing skills. Planning, marking, and assessment will be part of your daily responsibilities, and you'll be expected to contribute to the broader life of the department.
 
The Candidate
We are looking for a confident, skilled classroom practitioner with:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
• A strong track record of delivering results across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students
• A collaborative approach and commitment to professional development

Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT with strong placement references, your passion for English and commitment to student progress will be key.
