Are you a passionate Religious Studies specialist looking for your next challenge? A vibrant secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and committed RS teacher to join their Humanities team from September 2025. This full-time supply role comes with full teaching responsibilities, offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact on students’ learning and development.

  • Daily Rate: £175 – £250 (depending on experience)

  • Contract: Full-time, supply – September 2025 start

  • Responsibilities: Full teaching role including planning, delivery, and marking
 
The Role:
You’ll deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students explore key moral, philosophical, and cultural issues. This is not a cover-only position – you will take full ownership of your classes, planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider school community.
 
The school is committed to providing a well-rounded education that encourages critical thinking, tolerance, and respect, and RS is a valued part of their curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a confident ECT ready to take on full classroom responsibilities.
 
The Candidate:
You’ll need to be a qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) with a strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies. You should have recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools and be confident managing behaviour and planning independently. A passion for your subject and a commitment to inclusive, respectful education are essential.
