Job Description

Director for Learning – SLT
 
We are seeking a Director of Learning to be part of the team that has been commissioned to create changes within the curriculum to increase outcomes at school level. Recent Ofsted is Good with excellent leadership and scope to continue development as part of a small MAT.

You will be:-
  • QTS – English, Maths or Science able to demonstrate a strong track record of teaching and learning progress
  • Used to working as part of an effective SLT, with a hands on approach
  • Able to work with and apply data for academic progress at GCSE level
  • A leader capable of raising expectations and standards across the curriculum for both staff and students
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of improving results at GCSE level across core subjects
  • A subject specialist who has led across English, Maths or Science managing and supporting a team to include ECT’s
  • Used to using evidence based strategies to work with staff and students in the first instance to understand the gaps in attainment to include using student data to analyse the cause
  • Able to make comparisons with local schools, using student data, demographics, understanding the gaps within your school, community and local area
The role:-
  • The school are interested in meeting with candidates that meet the above brief and who have evidence in support of progress.
  • SLT – Will be “hands on” across the curriculum to include working in the classroom with staff and students to assess progress
  • Can be considered on either an interim of permanent basis
  • Will pay to scale up to L20
