Sustainment Worker
to join a dedicated Support team in Exeter.
This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, resilient, and committed to providing high-quality support to individuals facing challenges such as mental ill health, substance misuse, and complex life circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
  • Tenancy Support: Help customers maintain their accommodation through budgeting, benefits advice, and housing support.
  • Promoting Wellbeing: Encourage positive lifestyle choices and connect individuals with health and support services.
  • Risk & Safety Management: Carry out risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, housing management, and external agencies to provide effective joined-up support.
  • Empowering Independence: Support individuals in building the confidence and skills to live independently.
You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team, delivering a person-centred approach that makes a real difference in the community.

About You To succeed as a Tenancy Sustainment Worker, you will bring:
  • Experience supporting individuals with housing-related needs.
  • Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and health & safety.
  • Experience of managing challenging behaviours and tenancy issues.
  • Ability to manage rent accounts and maintain accurate records.
  • A methodical, organised approach to work, with strong time management skills.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
Desirable qualifications include: CIH or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) – or a willingness to work towards these.
