The Role:
You will be the student’s consistent adult across the timetable. Before each lesson you will check equipment, preview instructions and agree a clear goal. In class you will reduce task load by breaking work into small steps, modelling the first example and using visuals, checklists and now next prompts to keep focus. You will plan short regulation breaks and guide a calm return to learning. You will support note taking, scaffold written responses and help the student organise homework so deadlines are met. After lessons you will record quick outcomes, capture triggers and positives, and share next actions with subject teachers and the SENCO so support stays aligned.

The Candidate & Requirements:
You are calm, observant and direct. You use simple language, hold warm boundaries and build independence without over prompting.

  • Degree, 2:2 or above in Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Clear written notes and confident spoken communication.

  • Motivation to work in education with a strong interest in autism, regulation and wellbeing.
  • Experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

The School:
