Job Title: SEND High Needs Officer
Location: London (Hybrid – minimum two days per week in the locality)
Directorate: Children's Services
Reports to: SEN Principal Manager for Case Management
Contract Type: Full-Time | Contract
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Make a Difference for Children and Young People A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SEND High Needs Officer to join an inclusive and ambitious SEND Service, supporting children and young people with special educational needs across two central London boroughs.
About the Role You will provide key financial and administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of SEND services.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and update high needs top-up funding using the EBT matrix.
  • Maintain finance systems and pupil funding databases.
  • Manage purchase orders, supplier agreements, and personal budget payments.
  • Coordinate invoice approvals, audits, and financial reviews.
  • Produce reports with analysis, benchmarking, and forecasting.
  • Ensure accuracy of finance-related casework.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience managing payment schedules and data reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of SEND legislation (or willingness to learn quickly).
  • Strong stakeholder management and multi-agency understanding.
  • Confident with data analysis and reporting.
  • English and Maths qualifications or relevant administrative experience.
A background in finance, education, or public services is desirable.
