SEN Teaching Assistant - Ealing Secondary School - September 2025 Start Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Ealing to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for a September 2025 start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs. The role will initially be offered on a one-year temporary contract through the agency, with the potential for a permanent role from the following academic year.
Graduates with a degree in Psychology are strongly encouraged to apply, even if they do not yet have school-based experience.
Location: Ealing
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Duration: 1-year agency contract (Temp), with opportunity for permanent role
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
About the Role: - Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and fully engaging in lessons
- Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to implement individual support plans
- Support students’ emotional, social, and academic development
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive relationships among students
- Help monitor student progress and contribute to reviews and reports
The Ideal Candidate Will: - Have experience supporting young people with SEN in a school setting
- Be enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable to a variety of learning needs
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be proactive and confident supporting students across a range of subjects
- Be passionate about inclusive education and helping students overcome barriers to learning
- Hold a degree in Psychology or a related field – desirable but not essential
- Be open to training and development opportunities within the school
