Job Description
Pertemps Education is seeking a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist secondary provision in Enfield. In this role, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural support, helping them develop positive habits and emotional resilience. Your role will be crucial in supporting students to overcome behavioural challenges and ensuring they thrive in the school environment.
Location: Enfield
Pay: £92-£100 per day
Start Date: November
Interview Date: ASAP
About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and use positive reinforcement to encourage good conduct and participation.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individual behaviour plans tailored to students’ needs.
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students, promoting a positive attitude towards learning.
- Monitor student progress and regularly provide updates to staff and parents.
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural difficulties, ideally in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
