ICT Teacher - Deaf School - September StartPertemps Education is seeking an ICT Teacher to join a well-established secondary deaf school in Muswell Hill from September 2025. This is a unique opportunity to work in a specialist setting that supports the learning and development of deaf students through an inclusive and empowering educational approach.
Location: Muswell Hill
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) + Inner London Allowance + 1 SEN Point
About the Role:- Teach ICT to pupils in the secondary phase, adapting and delivering engaging lessons to meet the needs of deaf learners
- Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Differentiate planning and instruction to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Work collaboratively with specialist support staff, speech and language therapists, and other professionals
- Contribute to wider school life, including planning, meetings, and CPD opportunities
The Successful Candidate Will:- Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience of teaching in the secondary phase
- Demonstrate experience of working with children with SEND, ideally including deaf students
- Have high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
- Possess strong planning, differentiation, and classroom management skills
- Have knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL) or a commitment to work towards a minimum of BSL Level 3
- Show excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with students, staff, and families
