Job Description
Pertemps Education is seeking a Reception Class Teacher to join a warm and welcoming one-form entry primary school in Camden from September 2025. This is a maternity cover position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-supported and child-centred Early Years environment.
Location: Camden
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Maternity Cover (Full-Time)
Salary: M1 – M6 + Inner London Allowance
About the Role:
- Full-time Reception Class Teacher role as part of the Early Years Foundation Stage team
- Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that nurture children’s early learning
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
- Use observations and formative assessment to plan next steps and monitor progress
- Work collaboratively with the EYFS team, support staff and parents
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through planning, meetings and events
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage (ECT's Encouraged)
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- Be warm, caring and nurturing in their classroom approach
- Have strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Be passionate about giving children the best possible start to their school life
- One-form entry – enjoy close collaboration with a small and supportive staff team
- A welcoming and inclusive school culture
- Strong leadership that values staff well-being and development
- Well-resourced EYFS setting with access to outdoor learning spaces
