Job Description
Pertemps Education is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a dynamic secondary school in Ealing. This temp to perm role is ideal for someone with a strong biology background who enjoys working in an educational setting and supporting students’ practical learning experiences.
Location: Ealing
Start Date: September
Contract: Temp to Perm
Interview Date: ASAP
Salary: £110.00 - £130.00 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
- Support the Science Department in preparing equipment and materials for practical lessons, with a focus on biology
- Assist teaching staff during experiments and practical demonstrations
- Ensure laboratories and prep rooms are clean, safe, and fully stocked
- Manage and maintain scientific equipment, ensuring correct storage and safe handling of chemicals
- Support with the organisation of resources and accurate record-keeping in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with science teachers and other technicians to contribute to a high-quality learning environment
- A background in Biology or a related science field (degree or equivalent preferred)
- Previous experience working in a school or laboratory setting is desirable
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and equipment handling
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to supporting students and staff
