Role Details - Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Primary)
- Salary: £103 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
The Ideal Candidate Will: - Have experience working in a primary school setting
- Have direct experience supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviour
- Be patient, calm, and confident when managing behaviour in a positive, supportive way
- Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Be proactive, reflective, and passionate about supporting SEN pupils
- Work well as part of a supportive team, liaising with teachers and SENCO
Key Responsibilities: - Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD and challenging behaviours
- Implement strategies to support emotional regulation, communication, and engagement
- Assist with delivering tailored learning activities based on the pupil’s EHCP
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and SEN staff
- Support the pupil in navigating transitions, routines, and social interactions
- Contribute to creating a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Foster independence and encourage positive learning behaviours
