SEN Teaching Assistant – ARP within a Mainstream Primary School – Brixton 
Are you a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new role? A welcoming mainstream primary school in Brixton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their Additional Resource Provision (ARP). This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs in a nurturing and well-resourced environment. 
 
Role Overview:

  • Contract: Full-Time / Term Time 
  • Salary: £103 – £110 per day (dependent on experience) 
 
About the Role: 
The ARP caters to pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and other complex learning needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher, therapists, and wider school team to provide individualised support and help pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop key life skills.

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD and communication needs 
  • A calm, caring, and patient approach to supporting learning and behaviour 
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills 
  • Confidence working in a small-group and 1:1 setting 
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping every child thrive 
 
Your Responsibilities Will Include: 
  • Delivering tailored support to pupils in the ARP, adapting materials and strategies to suit individual needs 
  • Supporting the development of communication, social, and independence skills 
  • Assisting with the implementation of EHCP targets and individual learning plans 
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals 
  • Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where all pupils can succeed
