SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Enfield – Immediate Start
Pertemps Education is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a primary school in Enfield. This role involves providing personalised assistance to a child, helping them overcome learning challenges and ensuring they can engage fully with the curriculum.

Location: Enfield
Pay: £90-£100 per day
Start Date: October
Interview Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 tailored support to a student with special educational needs.

Assist the student in staying focused and participating actively in lessons.

Work closely with the class teacher to implement individualised learning plans (IEPs) and adapt materials to meet the student’s needs.

Promote the student’s emotional and social development, building their confidence and independence.

Monitor the student’s progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for the student.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a 1:1 setting.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to build a strong relationship with the student.

Understanding of SEN conditions, such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or sensory impairments.

Basic knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
