Pertemps Network Catering is looking for
experienced Cooks and Chefs to join our busy temporary team. We proudly support a wide range of clients, including
Schools, Colleges, and Residential Homes, and we’re looking for skilled professionals with a flexible approach to work.
We offer a variety of shifts
Monday to Sunday, typically between
7am–3pm and
10am–6pm. Whether you’re seeking
full-time hours or
part-time work to fit around other commitments, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals for students and residents alongside established catering teams
- Oversee food production and ensure high standards of cooking
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment
- Manage and order stock to ensure fresh, high-quality ingredients are always available
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to support smooth service
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimise waste
- Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any issues
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Adapt menus to meet dietary requirements and allergen needs
Qualifications & Requirements- GNVQ / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Catering or equivalent
- Valid Food Hygiene Certificate
- Strong knowledge of food allergens and experience working with dietary requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete safeguarding vetting (essential for roles in vulnerable settings)
