We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to join the team in Longhope. If you have a hands-on approach and a knack for leading a diverse workforce, we want to hear from you. Paying £38,000-£40,000 depending on experience.
Working Monday to Friday 07:30 to 17:00.
Key Requirements:- Valid UK driving license
- Forklift license and machinery experience.
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience (preferred)
- Experience in warehouse or FMCG environments (preferred)
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of 15 employees and agency staff.
- Ensure accurate picking and timely dispatch of customer orders.
- Oversee all warehouse operations and movements.
- Develop and implement procedures to enhance company performance through continuous improvement.
- Ensure each shift is resourced accordingly.
- Collaborate with the team to redefine roles and provide necessary training.
- Hold production/operations accountable for plan adherence and support improvement projects.
- Manage productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Monitor and minimise waste and stock record errors.
- Liaise with the Purchasing department to optimise customer availability.
