Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – SolihullThis vibrant secondary school in Solihull is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs and helping them achieve success both academically and personally.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students with EHCPs both in the classroom and through targeted small group interventions. You will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to provide structured support that promotes independence, confidence and engagement with learning.
The Role:- Supporting secondary-aged students with EHCPs across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Delivering targeted small group interventions
- Providing classroom support to help students access the curriculum
- Assisting with learning activities and differentiated tasks
- Supporting students’ social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Working closely with teachers and the SENDCo to follow individual support plans
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting young people
- Experience supporting students with SEND and EHCPs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, proactive and supportive approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with secondary-aged students
