Maths Teacher

Maths Teacher required for a welcoming special school. Are you a qualified Maths Teacher looking for a highly rewarding opportunity? This lovely special school is looking to add a Maths Teacher to the team to teach small classes of Key Stage 3 & 4 students with a primary diagnosis of ASC.

The school provides a supportive environment for both staff and students, and as a Maths Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that are tailored to the needs of your students. You will be teaching classes of no more than 8 students and will always be supported by at least one experienced Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths Teacher to make the transition into teaching in a SEND school, or for a Maths Teacher with previous SEND teaching experience. This role requires QTS, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping children overcome barriers to education. 

The Role:

• Teaching Maths to small classes of students with ASC and MLD
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated Maths lessons
• Adapting teaching to meet mixed-ability learning needs
• Creating a calm, structured and positive learning environment
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants to support learning
• Monitoring progress and supporting individual learning targets

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Math
• Confidence teaching mixed-ability classes
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND (desirable but not essential)
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, flexible and inclusive approach
