Design & Technology Teacher – SEND School – Birmingham
A well-resourced SEND school in Birmingham is seeking a creative and committed Design & Technology Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Design & Technology Teacher who enjoys delivering practical, hands-on learning and making a real difference to pupils with additional needs.

The school offers outstanding facilities and specialist resources, allowing the Design & Technology Teacher to deliver engaging lessons tailored to a range of learning needs. You will be teaching small classes of pupils with SEND, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and a strong leadership team.

Job Role:

• Teaching Design & Technology to small classes of pupils with SEND
• Planning and delivering practical, engaging and differentiated lessons
• Adapting the curriculum to meet a range of additional learning needs
• Creating a safe, structured and inclusive workshop environment
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff
• Monitoring progress and supporting pupils’ personal and academic development

You Will Need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND (desirable)
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, flexible and creative approach
