As a Special Educational Needs Teacher, you will teach small classes of secondary-aged students, ensuring that lessons are engaging, accessible, and tailored to individual learning needs. Job Role:- Teaching and inspiring students with special educational needs across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons that promote progress and confidence
- Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants to support individual learning goals
- Managing behaviour positively and fostering an inclusive, safe classroom environment
- Supporting students’ social, emotional, and communication development
- Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for each student
Requirements:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – secondary or primary trained
- Experience teaching students with SEND in a specialist or mainstream setting
- Knowledge of strategies to support learners with Autism, MLD, and communication difficulties
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to teaching
