This role requires a empathetic and patient teaching assistant who tailors their support to meet the needs of students. Job Role:
- Providing tailored support for a child with special educational needs.
- Working closely with an experienced team of teaching assistants to provide the best possible support.
- Understanding a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, Complex Needs, and Aspergers’.
- Supporting the child on a 1-2-1 basis, delivering intervention where required.
- Managing behaviours, helping the child to engage with lessons.
- Recording progress of the child and reporting to the SENCO.
