Learning Support Assistant

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive secondary school? This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school in Smethwick is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work closely with students who require additional support in their learning.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young people, working within a welcoming and inclusive school environment. You will be supporting students on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups, helping them to engage with their learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential. Strong behaviour management and communication skills are essential for this role.
Job Role:

• Supporting students across Key Stages 3 & 4 in their learning and development.
• Providing 1-2-1 and small group support, ensuring students remain engaged in lessons.
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Helping students with additional learning needs, including SEND and EAL pupils.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional well-being.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams to provide tailored support.
