SENCO (Part-Time – 2 Days a Week) – South Birmingham

This fantastic school in South Birmingham is seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join their team for two days a week. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who wants to make a real impact on the lives of children with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive.

The school has a strong team, excellent facilities, and a collaborative staff team. Leadership is highly supportive, and the school prides itself on delivering inclusive and high-quality education for all pupils. This role requires a qualified SENCO with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or equivalent experience) and a proven track record of supporting children with a range of needs.
Job Role:

• Overseeing the SEND provision across the school.
• Supporting teachers and Teaching Assistants to deliver effective interventions.
• Liaising with external agencies, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Writing and reviewing EHCPs and IEPs, ensuring tailored support is in place.
• Leading and delivering staff training on best SEND practices.
• Monitoring student progress and making data-driven decisions to improve support strategies.
