This established PRU is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work closely with students who have been excluded from mainstream education. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by providing tailored support in a nurturing and supportive environment.
This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who can manage challenging behaviours, build strong relationships with students, and help them overcome barriers to learning. You will join a committed team who are passionate about helping young people re-engage with education and achieve their potential.
Job Role:- Providing 1-2-1 and small group support for students with additional behavioural and emotional needs.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive learning environment.
- Supporting students in developing social and emotional skills, helping them build confidence and resilience.
- Managing challenging behaviours effectively using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies.
- Contributing to whole-school activities, trips, and reward days to foster engagement and community.
