Science Teacher - Alternative Provision

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering high-quality. Interactive science lessons to students’ small classes of students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Making learning fun for students and inspiring a love for all things Science.
  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to students' individual needs.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, with the support of Teaching Assistants and an outstanding pastoral team.
  • Providing one-on-one and small group support as a Science Teacher to students to enhance their understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Monitoring student progress, setting goals, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.
To excel as a Science Teacher in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant subject specialism as a Science Teacher.
  • Experience teaching science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ideally within an Alternatives Provision or secondary school with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching science.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs as a Science Teacher.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong classroom management.
