We’re recruiting for an Alternative Provision that does things differently. This provision blends hair & beauty vocational learning with Maths and English woven naturally into the day - engaging learners in a way that actually makes sense to them.

The provision is a creative, supportive provision working with young people who thrive outside of mainstream school. The focus is on practical skills in hair and beauty, building confidence, self-esteem and real-life employability skills along with core subjects delivered in a way that feels relevant.

We are looking for ...

• Person-centred and genuinely learner-focused
• Non-judgemental, patient and understanding
• Naturally sociable - able to build rapport and trust quickly
• Calm but full of personality
• Able to see behaviour as communication
• And most importantly… have a proper sense of humour

This role suits someone who enjoys conversation, connection and thinking on their feet. If you can chat about balayage one minute and help with engaging learners with barriers to education the next minute, you’ll fit right in.

The Details

• Long-term opportunity
• Monday to Friday
• Term time only
• Hours: 9am–2pm or 9am–3pm

Perfect if you’re looking for consistency without full-time hours.
