Adult’s Social Worker, Learning Disability Team, South East 
Pay rate £38 - 40 per hour 
Contract role – LD team 
 
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Adult’s Social Worker in the South East. 
This is to work within Learning Disability 
This role is ideally located for Social Workers living north of London for example Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, etc. 
 
This is a unique role that will invoke some aspects of research and analysis of data looking at young people with SEND who have come to Adult Social Care and working across Children’s Services SEND and specialist Commissioners. 
  
You will have considerable LD experience and will be required to educate and inform professionals, parents and carers of young people about Adult Social Care and relevant legislation to help them to understand what ASC looks like. You will collaborate to help to improve transitions. There will be some assessments and school reviews of young people aged 16-18 and some supervision of staff when needed. 
  
There is no Team as yet so you would be working closely with the Head of Service for Learning Disability and Short Breaks (internal day care and overnight respite). You would be attending meetings and representing ASC and be able to hold high level conversations and provide feedback and be realistic about what ASC can facilitate.
