Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Behaviour Mentor Experience Location: Bexleyheath, London

Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Do you have experience working with pupils who display challenging behaviour and require additional pastoral/behavioural support?
We are currently recruiting an
LSA with Behaviour Mentor experience to join a supportive secondary school in the Bexleyheath area. This role is ideal for someone who is resilient, calm under pressure, and committed to making a positive impact on pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:- Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who have behavioural or SEMH needs
- Support teaching staff to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Implement behaviour intervention strategies and tailored support plans
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help improve engagement and progress
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and pastoral staff
- Model positive behaviour and encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and self-regulation
Ideal Candidates Will Have:- Previous experience as an LSA, Behaviour Mentor, or similar role
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- A patient, empathetic and supportive approach
- The ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional boundaries
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
