SEMH Teaching Assistant – Greenwich Location: Greenwich, South East London 
Pay: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience) 
Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential for permanent placement

 We are currently seeking a dedicated 
SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in 
Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to helping students with SEMH or behavioural challenges reach their full potential. 
Role Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
 - Help pupils to engage positively in learning and manage their emotions and behaviour effectively.
 - Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to implement individual support plans.
 - Encourage personal, social, and emotional development through tailored interventions and mentoring.
 
Requirements:- Previous experience working with SEMH, behaviour management or within a PRU/SEND setting.
 - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
 - A calm, patient and empathetic approach to supporting challenging behaviour.
 - Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
