About the Role: We are looking for a passionate and resilient
Behavioural Mentor to join a supportive school in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by supporting students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to pupils with behavioural and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Support pupils in managing their emotions, behaviour, and interactions.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and interventions under the guidance of the SENCO and senior leadership team.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage resilience, self-esteem, and engagement.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create consistent support plans.
- Assist with classroom support, de-escalation, and behaviour management where required.
Requirements:- Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour, ideally within an educational setting.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a positive, resilient attitude.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with young people and staff.
- A genuine passion for supporting the development and wellbeing of pupils.
