Job Title: SEND Team Manager
Location: Lancashire (Hybrid – 2-3 days on-site, remainder remote)
Rate: £400 - £475 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Interim / Locum

Duration: 3–6 months (with potential extension)
Are you a skilled leader with a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are looking for an experienced SEND Team Manager to join a dedicated local authority in Lancashire on a hybrid basis. Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of SEND Officers and Caseworkers to deliver high-quality EHCP assessments, reviews, and placements.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice.
- Drive performance and service improvements, maintaining a child-centred and outcome-focused approach.
- Work collaboratively with schools, parents/carers, social care, and health professionals.
- Manage complex casework, including tribunals, mediation, and complaints.
- Provide regular supervision, coaching, and support to team members.
Requirements:- Proven experience managing a SEND or EHCP service within a local authority.
- In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse data and drive service improvements.
- Experience of managing staff performance and workflow.
