Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable
EHC Co-ordinator to join Harrow’s SEND team. You will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working closely with families, schools, and multi-agency partners to ensure statutory Education, Health, and Care (EHC) processes are delivered effectively and in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the statutory EHC needs assessment and review process.
- Draft and amend EHC plans in accordance with legal frameworks and local policy.
- Engage with children, families, educational settings, and external professionals to gather and interpret advice.
- Ensure all casework is completed within statutory timelines and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records using local systems.
- Attend multi-agency and annual review meetings as required.
Requirements:- Proven experience in a local authority SEND/EHC role.
- Strong working knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to manage complex caseloads and work under pressure.
- IT literate, ideally with experience using systems such as Synergy, Capita, or LiquidLogic.
