Locum Physiotherapist – Reablement Service
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months (with potential extension)
Hours: 37 per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid (approx. 50% office-based)
Locations Available:1 x Salisbury 1 x Chippenham
Pertemps are currently seeking
two experienced Physiotherapists to join the
Reablement service on a locum basis—
one based in Salisbury and one in Chippenham.
Role Overview As a Reablement Physiotherapist, you'll manage a varied and rewarding caseload, including:
- Neurological conditions (e.g. stroke, Parkinson’s)
- Musculoskeletal issues (e.g. arthritis, fractures)
- Post-hospital discharge rehabilitation
You will: ✅ Conduct functional assessments in client homes
✅ Develop and implement tailored intervention plans
✅ Work within a multidisciplinary team
✅ Clearly communicate complex clinical decisions
✅ Champion safeguarding and quality of care
About the Reablement Service Our short-term, therapist-led Reablement service focuses on helping people regain their independence and avoid the need for ongoing care. This vital support includes:
- Comprehensive assessment and personalised treatment planning
- Provision of equipment and home adaptations
- Close collaboration with Reablement Support Workers
- Enabling clients to draw on personal and community resources
Requirements:- Degree in Physiotherapy (SCQF Level 9 or equivalent)
- HCPC registration
- Proven experience in community or reablement settings
- Strong interpersonal and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to manage complex and sensitive cases
- Supervisory or mentoring experience desirable
