SEND Sufficiency Programme Lead
Rate: £648.15 per day
Contract: 6 months
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Working pattern: 3 days per week
Location: Hybrid – home working with travel across Westmorland and Furness

We are seeking an experienced SEND Sufficiency Programme Lead to support a local authority in delivering strategic improvements across SEND and education services.
This is a part-time interim contract working 22.5 hours per week across 3 days, with a mix of home working, attendance in Kendal, and travel across schools and settings within the local authority area.

The Role
You will support the council to:

• Refresh the SEND Sufficiency Strategy and Delivery Plan
• Deliver key actions linked to the SEND Reform Plan
• Provide practical support to improve SEND sufficiency delivery
• Strengthen the council’s long-term approach to SEND sufficiency planning
• Work collaboratively with education providers and internal stakeholders

Requirements
To be considered, you will have:

• Previous experience delivering education or SEND programmes
• Experience working within local authority children’s services
• Strong understanding of SEND and education provision
• Ability to work at both strategic and operational level
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
